PET is a voluntary, non-governmental, and non-profit organization established to work on energy transition, climate change, environmental protection, and particularly the democratization of energy.

 

PET's mission is to support, enhance, and increase Serbian citizens' participation in the energy transition process.
 

Citizens' energy is a key driver of a just energy transition.

  • Promoting the principles of a just energy transition in the Republic of Serbia;

  • Encouraging, promoting, and affirming citizens' energy and strengthening the independence and resilience of local communities through the formation of energy cooperatives and communities;

  • Contributing to environmental protection and reducing the impact of climate change;

  • Enhancing energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources in the Republic of Serbia;

  • Improving and strengthening mechanisms for implementing a just energy transition and the goals of low-carbon and sustainable development, including the 2030 Agenda, the Paris Climate Agreement, the Covenant of Mayors, and other international agreements in the Republic of Serbia.
