Promotion of energy democratization through citizens’ engagement in local energy transition in Serbia

Short description: The purpose of the Project is to identify the potential of energy agencies and other “Energy transition actors”/legal entities in Serbia to facilitate local energy transition by assessing the legal, institutional, and policy potential and practical methods for citizens’ engagements in local energy transition ensuring just transition and equal participation of women and vulnerable groups in the process. The Project will also strive to improve understanding of energy transition among citizens in Serbia through assessing potential for 3D principles citizens’ Democratization, Decentralization & Decarbonization of Energy.

Achievement: The results will be summarized in a user-friendly form and 3 stakeholders’ events/round tables will be conducted to enable feedback from the relevant key local actors and stakeholders and ensure the promotion of the 3D principles of the energy transition.
