PET’s directors to participate in the European Energy Communities Forum in Prague

European Energy Communities Forum, organised by the European federation of citizen energy cooperatives (REScoop) and the Community Energy Union (UKEN), will take place in Prague from 13 to 15 May 2024. PET, recognized as new initiative from Serbia, has received support to attend the Forum, and will be represented by director of operations Tanja Popovicki and program director Bojan Gajić.

Three days of sessions, workshops and activities aimed at discussing the potential of energy communities as a catalyst for change will bring an excellent opportunity to share experiences with organisations from all across Europe. As a new organisation, PET will greatly benefit from the opportunity to establish connections leading to future partnerships in the field of citizen energy.

This year’s Forum, supported by the European Climate Foundation, will aim to offer insights and support to “citizens who might still be struggling to get their projects off the ground.” It will also be a chance to discuss ways to improve policy and frameworks related to citizen energy projects, as well as the inclusivity of the community energy movement.
