Three days of fruitful discussions and networking at European Energy Communities Forum in Prague

PET’s team took part in European Energy Communities Forum in Prague, which lasted from 13 to 15 May 2024. The Forum, organized by the European federation of citizen energy cooperatives (REScoop) and the Community Energy Union (UKEN), presented a great opportunity for our representatives to learn more about latest trends regarding community energy in Europe and discuss future cooperation potentials with like-minded organizations and experts.

The Forum also brought funders who discussed potentials for getting financial support for energy communities. An encompassing event such as this could not pass without a discussion about the potential of community energy in just energy transition and creating a more democratic and transformative energy sector.

Still, one of the most important takeaways from this year’s EECF is the number of connections we have built with experts and organizations working in the field of community energy. Program of the Forum included many valuable opportunities for networking since it gathered participants from all around Europe. PET is looking forward to building meaningful cooperation with them in the future and we thank the organizers for their support.
