Tanja Popovicki

Ms. Tanja Popovicki is a sustainability expert and public policy advisor with more than 20 years of experience in managing complex multi-stakeholders projects focused on environmental, climate, energy, and good governance issues. She successfully managed affairs in local and international NGOs and public sector environments by facilitating political dialogue, policy mainstreaming, and stakeholders’ engagement in Serbia and the Western Balkans region. She holds a master’s degree in environmental engineering from Belgrade University and a Public Policy professional development certificate from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York (USA).

During her career, Ms Popovicki proved to be successful in performing various assessments and analyses aimed at identifying gaps and providing recommendations for improvement of legal and policy frameworks for renewable energy, climate, and environmental issues. She was affiliated with numerous public and governance institutions in providing consultancy services for UNDP, WWF, IUCN, GIZ, and other international organizations on issues related to climate, energy, and air pollution in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.

Ms Popovicki is also an experienced trainer and facilitator with more than 25 years of experience in the design, conducting, and delivery of workshops, organization and management of public events, and moderation of high-level multi-stakeholder events, conferences, and debates (in both live and hybrid settings). Her strengths lie within the in-depth understanding of the sustainability challenges, excellent networking abilities, and a strong tendency for building partnerships and trust among partners, thus enabling opportunities for long-lasting collaboration and strategic cooperation. She is advantageous in presenting information briefly, accurately, and precisely, targeting often high-level political decision-makers, and elaborating on sensible political issues and challenges.
