Professor Dr. Dejan Ivezić is a full-time professor at the University of Belgrade - Faculty of Mining and Geology, chief of the Chair of Mechanical Engineering and Thermodynamics, and manager of the Centre for Energy. He teaches graduate and postgraduate courses in gas engineering, energy modeling, and control of energy processes. His teaching and research interests include sustainable development, environmental protection concerning the negative impact of energy activities, energy efficiency and renewable energy sources utilization, and conservation of natural resources. He is an author or co-author of over 60 scientific papers, three university books, and two scientific monographs.

He took part in numerous energy and climate change projects funded by the EU (FP6, FP7, Tempus, and Horizon 2020), Serbian energy and environmental protection ministries, municipalities, international donors (EBRD, UNEP, UNDP, etc.), and other organizations and companies. He drafted two national Energy Sector Development Strategies.
